Ubuntu on the MacBookAir3,1 11" and MacBookAir3,2 13"
Here you see the Ubuntu login screen an a MacbookAir3,1.
Basicly the installation is similiar to a normal installation, the first thing you have to do is :
1.) Use nomodeset as boot option for the installer.
On the first boot add nomodeset and reboot=pci to the kernel parameters.

I also used the sound config from there.
For the keyboard and touchpad you can use this patch :
macbookair_patch_2.txt
Edit /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and add :
bcm5974
hid-apple
usbhid
